1. General Information
2. Data We Collect & Why
- Depending on whether you use our Free or Pro editions, we may collect and process the following data:
- Account & License Data (Pro): We collect your email address for account registration and license delivery. During activation, the software sends a device hardware identifier to our servers to enforce license limits.
- Payment Information (Pro): All payments are processed securely by our payment gateway, Stripe. We do not collect or store your credit card details on our servers.
- Update Checks (Free & Pro): The software may periodically check for updates. The Free Edition queries a public repository (e.g., GitHub) and does not send personal data to our servers.
3. Third-Party Services
4. Data Retention & Account Deletion
- We retain your account data for as long as your account is active and needed to provide our services. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and personal data at any time.
- IMPORTANT: Deleting your account is permanent: you lose access to the account, your order history and the downloads available from your dashboard. A license you have already activated keeps working, and we keep the record of your purchase for accounting purposes, without your personal data.

7. Website Analytics
We collect anonymous, aggregated statistics about how this website is used: page views per day, country, device type, and the source a visit arrived from. No cookies are used for this and no IP address is stored. The only identifier is a one-way digest of the IP address with a salt that rotates every month, so it cannot be traced back to a person and nothing can be compared across months. This data is deleted after 24 months.
Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland get a random session id stored in their browser (local storage) only after accepting the banner. It is what makes time on page, pages per visit and the source of an order measurable. Declining changes nothing about how the site works.
Outside those regions no banner is shown: the same measurement is on by default, with a notice on the site and a one-click option to turn it off. Turning it off deletes the session id from the browser and stops the measurement immediately.
8. App Update Checks
When an app checks whether a newer version is available, it asks our server. The request carries the application id (for example environment-comm). To tell installs apart, the server derives a one-way digest of the IP address with a salt that rotates every month - the address itself is not stored, and nothing in the digest can be reversed or compared across months. There is no user account, we do not know who is using the app, and no information about what you do inside the program is ever sent.
Why we count it: to know how many installs are actually in use in a given month, how many of them are new, and how many came back after a break. The numbers are aggregate and are deleted after 24 months. The basis for this is our legitimate interest: keeping the software up to date and knowing how many people use it. The update check is part of how the app works - it is what tells you about new versions and security fixes, which is why the app performs it by itself and there is no separate switch for the counters alone: it is the same single request. If you would rather the software did not talk to our server, you can block its network access - the app keeps working, you just check for new versions yourself. In the Pro edition, licence and activation data is described in the account and licence data section.
